Entrepreneurship and new ideas transforming metal into successful products
More than the desire to undertake, a desire to do different. This was the engine that made two brothers leave their jobs to set up their own business. This business, born in 1993, became Cucchi, today an award-winning company whose differential is transforming ideas into metal.
Cucchi's first factory was the basement of Odilon and Vilmar's parents' house, producing steel windows and doors. The quality of the parts was already highlighted since that time, which made the orders increase and new demands for products emerging. Soon, the factory had to move to a more suitable location, hire employees and invest in machinery and equipment.
Between 1995 and 1997, the company gained new expansions. During this period, it also began to serve a large agricultural machinery company and to supply steel cages for gas cylinders across the country. In the midst of large orders, Cucchi continued to manufacture other products, such as steel frames, residential gates, facades, stairs and retail furniture, always focusing on personalization and attention to the smallest details, which earned the nickname “ brand in metallurgy”.
The next step was the manufacture of shelves, counters and benches. The company's evolution brought, in 2000, novelties in file models for hanging folders, locker rooms and shelves. Increasingly equipped and gaining prominence in the market, Cucchi launched a new product in 2003, starting to produce bus shelters with a steel structure and polycarbonate cover, supplying city halls throughout Rio Grande do Sul.
New technologies and innovation
One of Cucchi's hallmarks has always been to understand customer needs and, from there, design and offer more suitable products. With that thought in mind, it started to manufacture steel furniture for segments such as industries, supermarkets, public agencies and distribution centers, helping in the proper storage of materials with practicality and durability.
In 2013, the project “20 years and many innovations” brought a new product, the elevators, showing all the versatility of the company. Both in the residential and industrial segments, Cucchi hydraulic and electromechanical elevators speed up the movement of materials in companies and improve people's quality of life. Today, there are more than 200 elevators installed throughout Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. In this line, Cucchi proves all its differential in the value chain from the design, manufacture, assembly and corrective and preventive maintenance services.
Anticipating market needs has always been in Cucchi's DNA. In the line of steel components, Cucchi currently supplies metal crossheads. Crossheads are used on power distribution poles. This product meets the demands of energy distribution companies throughout Brazil with quality. Quality, awarded by CPFL Energia, the world's largest energy distributor. Competing with 5,200 supplier companies, Cucchi received the CPFL Mais Valor Award, which certifies suppliers that stand out in terms of quality, deadlines and safety at work.
Challenges for the future
Challenges are the gear that moves Cucchi. A restless company that never stops creating, looking for ways to do it better, more appropriate, with more technology. That always seeks to offer the perfect product to its customers.
Today, Cucchi maintains frequent investments in processes and products. Recently, it carried out the expansion of the administrative center and the qualification of its management processes. It also plans to launch new solutions and increase market share in the products it supplies.
Once again, the company proves that, with the strength of metal and ideas, it is capable of creating, transforming products that carry and keep the best in the lives of companies and people.
